Each mama/daughter who registers will be mailed a copy of The Ordinary Princess to read together before coming to the retreat.

Steeped in history, our Inn has been a part of the Lovingston community since it was originally built in 1874 as the private home of a prestigious Virginia State Judge. Nestled in the heart of the famous Virginia Wine Country, every corner of the Orchard House B&B tells a story.

Do I have to stay at The Orchard House to attend the retreat?
Yes. All attendees will be staying at The Orchard House. This is a key part of the whole experience. There are 8 rooms available at the Orchard House.
Can I bring more than 1 daughter?
Yes. Text 540-820-9203 to notify us if you are bringing multiple daughters so that we can best advise room selection. NOTE: Your ticket covers a mother & daughter duo, you will need to purchase a discounted ticket for each additional daughter separately.
How many meals are covered?
All meals at The Orchard House are covered in your ticket cost (5). If you have any allergies, please notify our team ahead of time by texting 540-820-9203.

Sarah Thatcher
Sarah is a homemaker and innkeeper with a passion for curating meaningful environments for people to feel seen and loved by their creator.
A God-sized dream of running a quaint Bed & Breakfast was planted in her heart over 20 years ago. Then, in the summer of 2024 this dream became a reality when Sarah, her husband Caleb, their 4 young boys and her in-laws jumped into this new adventure of running The Orchard House Bed & Breakfast.
Getting to run a retreat with her mom Kim is another dream coming true!
Kim Forrest
(Sarah's mom!) Kim’s passion has always been to create a place where others feel not only lavishly welcomed, but experience comfort and joy in the moments of time shared. Teaching art has been her passion for over 40 years, although giving students a safe place to create, her heart is really encouraging them to find their Creator in their process. A self taught cook, Kim loves to speak into the hearts of others by cooking and baking. Hosting any gathering usually includes sharing something “yummy” with those who come.
She loves God, her husband Paul, her daughters, her grandsons, and all things pink.
